MONSTER aims to involve European citizens in order to give voice to their proposals related to the promotion and the putting into practice of sustainable behaviours. The MONSTER project would like to raise awareness of sustainability through sport by using major events (such as sporting competitions) to reach a wide audience and by trying to understand how these events can be organized in a more sustainable way. Its main objectives are: − SO1: Engage and train young adults to promote sustainable behaviours. − SO2: Raise awareness on sustainability issues; − SO3: Collect needs and ideas to bring to the attention of decision makers. In order to achieve these objectives, the following activities are planned: • A meeting of about 30 young adults aged between 18 and 30 who will become “ambassadors” of the project. They will be trained and will work with the project partners in organising the other events of the project; • Pilot actions in Italy, Hungary and Portugal, with activities linked to conferences, practical actions (es. plogging) and interviews; • A meeting of stakeholders and decision-makers to discuss a position paper; • Final events for schools and adults. The consortium is composed by LINKS Foundation (leader, Italy); CRN (Germany); CUS Torino (Italy); OLTALOM (Hungary); ADCS Carvalhais (Portugal).
