At CicloSchools, our mission is to reshape the way secondary schools teach about Circular Economy (CE) and Environmental Education for Sustainability (EfS). Our project is designed to achieve some important goals that will pave the way for a more sustainable and eco-conscious future.

Objectives: What do you want to achieve by implementing the project?

Our primary objectives are:

1. Development of Innovative Resources: We aim to create and test new teaching and learning materials that support the integration of a fresh and innovative approach to teaching CE in secondary schools.
2. Empowering Student Competence: We want to use existing research and educational practices to help students build competences in sustainability. We believe this is crucial for a brighter, more sustainable future.
3. Teacher Training: We are committed to developing a training program for science teachers and educators involved in delivering EfS in secondary education. By equipping teachers with the right tools, we can ensure the effective transmission of vital knowledge to students.

Implementation: What activities are you going to implement?

Our implementation plan includes various key activities:

• Research and Design: We’ll conduct in-depth research and design activities to create effective educational materials.
• Teacher Training Materials: We are developing training materials for secondary school teachers to improve their teaching of EfS and CE in science subjects.
• CicloSchools Curriculum: We’re introducing a unique CicloSchools Curriculum that uses Hackathons as an exciting educational tool to engage students and enhance learning.
• Teacher Training Program: We will implement a comprehensive training program for teachers, both pre-service and in-service, to help them become more proficient in teaching EfS and CE.
• Curriculum Implementation: Our curriculum will be introduced in partner schools, providing students with an innovative and engaging learning experience.

Results: What project results and other outcomes do you expect your project to have?

By the end of our project, we anticipate the following results:

• Best Practices in Circular Economy Education: We will compile a study on Good Practices of Circular Economy initiatives in School Education, sharing valuable insights with the educational community.
• Teacher Training Program: We will offer a training program for science teachers and EfS educators, including a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• CicloSchools Curriculum: Our innovative curriculum using Hackathons as an educational tool will be available for schools to adopt.
• Validation Study: We will conduct an implementation and validation study to ensure that our resources and materials are effective in achieving the desired outcomes.
• Wide Outreach: We will create a website, social media channels, promotional videos, and organize dissemination events to spread the word about our project and its benefits.
